current law · City of TwinsburgEstablishes a temporary moratorium of up to 12 months on accepting or considering applications and issuing zoning or occupancy permits for data centers as a principal use, including similar-use pathways and expansions of existing uses into data centers.City of Twinsburg Ordinance No. 2026-065
What this means
It would block zoning and occupancy permits for up to 12 months for buildings or uses involving data centers as a main use, and would prevent existing businesses from expanding into that use (12-month moratorium and expansion restriction). It does not expressly shut down existing data center operations, but the temporary halt would make new development and relevant expansions substantially harder.
