Lebanon Township
Strongly Anti-Data Center Policies
Lebanon Township has enacted an ordinance barring data centers, server farms, and related high-voltage substations in every zoning district, including redevelopment areas; its description nevertheless phrases the ban as something that “would” apply.

What this means

It also covers server farms and related high-voltage substations, making this an outright ban within the township’s boundaries (“strictly prohibited within all zoning districts”).

The construction, operation, expansion, or maintenance of any data center, server farm, high-density digital infrastructure facility, or related high-voltage electrical substation is strictly prohibited in every zoning district in Lebanon Township.
The prohibition applies categorically and unconditionally, including to data centers proposed as principal, accessory, or conditional uses, through adaptive reuse, or within areas designated as Areas in Need of Redevelopment or Areas in Need of Rehabilitation.
The definition of “data center” is broad and expressly includes hyperscale and colocation facilities, cloud-computing infrastructure, cryptocurrency-mining operations, artificial-intelligence processing facilities, and other high-density digital infrastructure, regardless of the label used.
